When should I book you for Cake Smash Photos?

I suggest booking your cake smash at least 4 to 6 weeks before your Childs birthday. This way you have time to get your complete finished gallery with plenty of time to order prints and have custom invites made for Babies First Birthday Party!

Are family photos included?

With your Cake Smash photoshoot you have the option of keeping the focus exclusively on your baby or adding family photos, which is highly suggested! Generally we suggest shooting family photos first, followed by photos of your little one pre cake smash in a different outfit, their smash and finishing the session up with splash photos afterwards to guarantee the most variety without over stimulating your baby.

My baby is allergic to everything. Eggs, milk, grass, air. What do I do?

Your Childs safety is our top propriety so prior to your session we would need to discuss just how to move forward and depending on the severity of their allergy you might need to provide your own smash cake.
Sound like too much trouble?
We do offer other alternatives to cake smashes!
We do spaghetti smashes, fruit smashes, pizza, wings, chic-fila-a the possibilities are endless!
Not sure if they have any allergies?

We suggest letting them try a store bought cupcake prior to their session to expose them to any potential allergens in a small dose in a controlled setting, that way we don’t get any surprises the day of!

What happens if my baby doesn’t eat their cake?

I’ll tell you right now… your kid is most likely not going to eat the cake. They are most likely going to cry. The majority of the time children barely touch the cake and definitely don’t smash it (we do that ourselves and get to lick our fingers after!). They get their hands or feet dirty and immediately get upset, so don’t be distressed if this happens during your cake smash session, it happens to almost everyone! We are very patient and are great at playing the waiting game but unfortunately, as much as we like to think we’re in charge of the situation, we’re totally at their mercy. Good news is, if they don’t destroy the cake, you get to take it home!

Don’t want to take it home?

The possums and raccoons in the woods behind the studio will happily take it! (We throw them the cake and a bit of insulin)

Do you provide props and outfits?

Unless you have something very specific in mind we provide everything for your set and will finalize the details and design weeks before your actual session date

Do you offer splash bath photos after the cake smash?

Heck yeah we do! It’s a great way to exhaust your little one after their sugar rush, get them partially clean and it makes for great photos! If they didn’t enjoy the cake, the will definitely enjoy the bath!

Not only do we send every client an in depth questionnaire to help plan their session but we also have a large catalog of available backdrops already on hand, which is great for those of you who might have booked last second. We also have our very own Cake Smash Bucket List with a variety of themes for both boys and girl if you’re feeling extra frisky!

What’s your Bucket List?

Bucket List items include themes or styles we’ve wanted to shoot for some time but have yet have had the opportunity to! This might range from a Lisa Frank Theme Cake Smash or If you give a Mouse a cookie! By selecting one of our Bucket List sessions, not only do you get a super awesome cool theme but you receive an additional $25 print credit, which can be applied towards prints or additional images.

By selecting one of are bucket list items you are allowing us complete creative freedom over the session. With each of these themes, we already have at least one or two set designs in mine that we are wanting to create and shoot. Due to this, bucket list sessions must be booked a minimum of 4 weeks in advance to give us adequate time to prepare and order any items necessary and your Balance must be paid in full before the session date.
